This is an original watercolor on 300 lb. paper titled, Above San Diego. The scene depicts, as the title suggests, a view of the SoCal city from above, certainly a shot taken on an arriving or departing flight. Palm trees, rooftops, cars, and people give a sense of this sunny, southwest metropolis. The painting showcases the artist’s lauded ability and technique in this medium. In a realistic style, it was undoubtedly painted from a photograph the artist himself would have taken while en route to the locale. The painting is signed by the artist on the lower righthand side of the paper.
