Hunting Party
This is an original etching on paper titled, Hunting Party. Inspired by his own Indigenous heritage, the artist spent time working and living in New Mexico where the subject for this image was likely etched from. The colors used here would have required an extra step to an already laborious process. Showing shadows and lines, density and negative space, one can admire the difficult medium and process of using metal plates, etching needles, acid, ink, and a printing press to create a detailed and textured image. The etching is signed by the artist in the lower righthand corner of the image.
(Please note: if purchased, you may not receive the exact numbered etching as shown (34/50) but the image, title, and signature will match what is displayed.)
