This is an original etching on paper titled, Kalanaki Café. The scene depicts outdoor seating at a busy café in Athens, Greece. A wonderous tree splices through the composition giving the eye a grounding place to land. Shadows and lines, density and negative space, one can admire the difficult medium and process of using metal plates, etching needles, acid, ink, and a printing press to create a detailed and textured image. The etching is signed by the artist in the lower righthand corner of the image.
